Transformation & Bespoke

Can my diamonds and stones be reused?

Yes. In most cases, your existing diamonds and gemstones can be incorporated
into your new design. We assess each stone carefully in the consultation.

Will the diamonds in my new jewellery be my original diamonds?

Preserving the gemstones that hold meaning for you is central to our approach.

Dimitar will assess your original diamonds and discuss how they can be incorporated into your new design. Any limitations or considerations will be explained before work begins.

We can also discuss how your gemstones will be identified and documented throughout the process.

How will my original gemstones and jewellery be cared for during remodelling?

We understand that your jewellery may carry memories that are irreplaceable.

Before any work begins, Dimitar personally examines your jewellery and gemstones, discusses what can be preserved and explains the proposed transformation.

Every piece is approached individually, with care and respect for its history.

Can the gold be melted down and reused?

In some cases, your original gold may be suitable for reuse. However, this depends on its composition, condition and the requirements of your new design.

Dimitar will assess your jewellery and explain whether reusing the metal is appropriate or whether working with new precious metal would produce a better result.

We will also discuss the available options for any original gold or gemstones not incorporated into your new piece.

Can inherited jewellery be remodelled?

Absolutely. Many of our projects involve family heirlooms, inherited diamonds, and sentimental jewellery.

How long does the process take?

Timeframes vary depending on the project. Most remodel commissions are completed within three to eight weeks after design approval.

How much does a remodel cost?

Every project is different. The investment depends on the design, the materials, and the complexity of the work.
Most transformations begin at $3,500. We discuss investment openly during your consultation — with no obligation.

I'm not sure I'm ready. Can I still reach out?

Of course. Many people contact us before they've made any decision.
The conversation itself often helps clarify what feels right.

Warranty & Repairs

Do Dimis Designs pieces come with a warranty?

All online purchases come with a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty from the date of purchase.

Dimis Designs will cover the cost of reasonable repairs, and shipping will be covered if the piece is found to be faulty.

If a piece shows signs of external damage caused by something other than normal wear, a repair fee will apply.

Please note: any repairs or customisations carried out by another jeweller will void the Dimis Designs warranty. We strongly recommend returning your piece to us for all repairs and resizes, as we cannot take responsibility for work performed by external jewellers.

Does your jewellery tarnish?

Our jewellery is made only with solid gold and platinum, so it will not tarnish like plated pieces. Because solid gold is blended with small amounts of alloy for strength, it holds its rich colour for life.

With daily wear, you may notice a natural patina — a soft change in surface texture that many consider part of the piece’s beauty and story. If you prefer, this can easily be polished back to a high shine.

Every piece is heirloom quality, crafted to last for generations.

Can you resize my ring if it's the wrong size?

Yes, we offer a complimentary ring resize for all DIMIS DESIGNS rings.

Please contact us here if you have any questions.

Account

Do I necessarily have to create an account to order?

No it's not mandatory. But it is highly recommended. Indeed, it will allow you to find your history, edit your addresses and track your parcel online faster. You will also be notified of new products and special events.

Do you save my bank details?

Absolutely not. We never have access to this information. It is the company Stripe that deals with it. Your data is completely safe.

Our Materials & Craftmanship

Is your jewellery real gold?

Yes.

We use only solid 18ct Australian gold (yellow or rose) and platinum — never plated, never hollow.

Each piece is handcrafted from responsibly sourced precious metal, chosen for its beauty, strength, and longevity.

Made to be worn every day, loved for a lifetime, and passed on with meaning.

Is your gold ethically sourced?

Yes. All Dimis Designs jewellery is crafted using responsibly sourced precious metals supplied by Australian partners accredited by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). Our gold is primarily refined from recycled materials or sourced from accredited mines and bullion dealers, ensuring ethical practices, environmental care, and full supply-chain transparency.

Why can't I select 9ct gold for my ring?

We don’t use 9K gold because it contains a lower percentage of pure gold (around 37%) and will not hold its colour or strength as beautifully over time.

Instead, we craft only in 18K (75% pure gold). These higher carats are richer in colour, stronger in structure, and designed to last — creating heirloom pieces to be treasured for generations.

Why does your jewellery feel different?

Because it is. Our pieces are:

  • Jewellery with meaning — engraved with your story
  • Heirloom-quality — crafted in solid gold or platinum
  • Personalised — made to order, just for you
  • Timeless — designed beyond trends
  • Slow-crafted — with soul, not speed

You’ll feel it in the weight of the gold. In the way it warms to your skin. In the quiet between each engraved letter.

Can I design my own ring?

Yes, of course. You can create your own custom design with us.

Visit our Custom Design page to learn more.

What is the process for creating a bespoke ring?

Creating a bespoke ring with Dimis Designs is a personal journey. From the first conversation to the finished piece, you'll work directly with Dimitar, our founder and artisan master jeweller, who brings over 30 years of experience to every commission.

1. Share Your Vision

We begin with a private consultation to understand your story, your ideas and what you would like your ring to represent.

Whether you have a clear design in mind or are starting with an idea, Dimitar will guide you through the possibilities, including gemstones, precious metals, design preferences and budget.

2. Design & Personalised Proposal

Dimitar develops a design direction tailored to you, considering the ring's proportions, gemstone selection, comfort and lasting beauty.

You'll receive a personalised proposal outlining the design, estimated timeframe and investment.

3. Confirm Your Commission

Once you're happy with the proposed design and details, a 60% deposit secures your commission.

Dimitar then begins creating your ring, with careful attention to every detail.

4. Handcrafted by Dimitar

Your ring is personally crafted by Dimitar in his Brisbane jewellery studio.

From the initial design through to the finishing touches, his craftsmanship ensures your ring is thoughtfully made and uniquely yours.

5. Your Finished Ring

Once completed, your ring is carefully inspected and prepared for collection or arranged delivery.

The remaining balance is payable upon completion.

The result is more than a beautiful ring. It's a meaningful piece created to become part of your story.

How do I determine my ring size?

You can order our ring sizer online to find your perfect fit here.

Is your jewellery made-to-order?
